If you already have Windows Pro why not just use Hyper V which is a type 1 hypervisor? Are there benefits to using VMWare Workstation? VMWare claims it does a better job with GPU emulation with DirectX 11 and OpenGL.
This isn't meant to be anything serious. More of a conversation starter and perhaps eye opener. Maybe next year I will do a similar poll and add a few suggestions.
Sounds like a heat issue. What are your temps. If your PC just shutdowns down it may be too hot in your case... Could be anything really. Best to replace each part one by one until you find it. Good luck!
Really? HDR looks great on my monitor. They have an HDR calibration tool to help adjust things to your liking. VRR is also very important as it helps eye strain and games play much smoother.
HDR is a visual improvement. People are sitting to close to their monitors and have been for decades. Now even MORE people are looking at their bright phones all day.
Linux is still way behind HDR and VRR. Sticking with Windows for the time being sadly.
