AMD Zen 5 Chiplet Built on 4 nm, "Granite Ridge" First Model Numbers Leaked

For those that do mixed productivity/gaming that want the best gaming performance will probably be most interested to know how many cores per CCD. If it's 8 like last gen I'll be most interested in a 9700X provided it uses 1 CCD. Anyway I'll be patiently waiting for a 9800X3D. Here is to...

NVIDIA DLSS Comes To More Games, Including EA SPORTS F1 24

DLSS is great now I use it on Quality setting on anything that supports it... it would be nice to see DirectStorage come to some games next.

AMD Ryzen 9000 Zen 5 "Granite Ridge" Desktop Processors Launch Late-July

I skipped 7000 series since I upgrade every 2-3 gens so looking forward to 9700X or 9800X3D depending on pricing and performance. I hope AMD fixed the longer boot times plaguing 7000 series though.

AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 Making a Comeback with Counter Strike 2, Company Outs Technical Preview Driver

Nice to see AMD continue to play catchup with Nvidia, hopefully a savy review site gets to compare this to Reflex at some point.

AMD Promises Next-Generation Product Announcements in its Computex Keynote

Definitely excited for Zen 5 / 9700X / 9800X3D announcements, whenever they come.

NVIDIA GeForce 555.85 WHQL Drivers Released

Installed on my Win11 box, zero issues so far. Interesting to see a new PhysX version. It's a very minor update overall but installed since I like all the 5s in the version number :D

    Intel's Lunar Lake Processors Arriving Q3 2024

The AI nonsense is meaningless at the consumer level still, but it does sound like Lunar Lake should be a solid (and long overdue) jump foward in performance per watt for Intel.

ASUS Launches Glossy 1440p WOLED Gaming Monitor

A flat, 27", 240Hz, 1440p, VRR, OLED monitor. Basically perfect. I'm hoping BenQ makes one with their Mobiuz lineup though, I got one of theirs now and was really surprised how awesome the built-in speakers are so I want my next monitor to have that too.

AMD to Discontinue Windows 10 Support for its Ryzen 9000 "Strix Point" Mobile Processors

You hate Win11 but like Win10? Lol what? Win11 is similar but faster, better looking, and has some new features like tabs in file explorer. It's been a no brainer on my PC and laptop. Have Linux on a few devices too like OpenWrt of course.

Lenovo Announces its New AI PC ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 Mobile Workstation Powered by AMD Ryzen PRO Processors

Very nice looking laptop and CPU selection. I think the ThinkPad T14S is my current favorite still.

    AMD Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F Detailed

Wasn't Ryzen 9000 supposed to be announced soon?

Team Group Launches the Model T USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive

Looks almost identical to the Samsung Bar 256GB I've had for 4 years.

Corsair MP700 Pro SE 4 TB

Finally a PCIe 5 SSD with decent realworld performance (boot time, load times, etc.). The power efficiency is terrible though. Seems like 990 Pro is still the best.

    Apple M4 Chip Benchmarked: 22% Faster Single-Core and 25% Faster Multi-Core Performance

Yet another glorified tablet CPU leveraging the most expensive lithography known to man. Locked down doesn't work with Vulkan, GPUs, or much else. Pass.

    Razer Introduces Razer Cortex: Add-Ons

Loading your apps with bloat, definitely a great strategy. What a bunch of idiots. Razer products are quite good, my Viper V2 Pro has been great over the past couple years, but this has me looking elsewhere for future upgrades.
