ASRock also introduced the M3A785GM-LE/128M, a value socket AM3 motherboard, supporting AMD Phenom II and Athlon II series processors. Built in the micro-ATX form-factor, the M3A785GM-LE/128M is based on the AMD 785G + SB710 chipset. The CPU is powered by a simple 4 phase circuit, and is wired to two DDR3 DIMM slots to support up to 8 GB of memory. The AMD 785G northbridge embeds an ATI Radeon HD 4200 class DirectX 10.1 compliant integrated graphics processor, with 128 MB of onboard DDR3 memory across its SidePort memory interface. It makes use of the chipset's features. The expansion slots on this board include one each of PCI-Express 2.0 x16, PCI-E x1, and two PCI slots. The SB710 southbridge provides six internal SATA 3 Gb/s ports. Display connectivity options include DVI-D and D-Sub. 6 channel audio, and gigabit Ethernet make for the rest of the package. Availability and pricing are yet to be known.

This actually has been out for quite a while, but I think western countries just got this. I had the A780GM-LE/128M version (780G) and I could get my 550BE to 3.9GHz easily.

Probably not. We'll most likely see embedded HD 5XXX GPUs around the time the HD 6870 gets released.

dont forget that the HD4200 is actually a low level 3 series card, its crossfire compatible (and performance equal) to a radeon 3450

(its a minor revision of the radeon 3200, no real hardware changes)

If 8XX chipsets come equipped with 5XXX graphics, expect them Q1 2010.

well, one thing for sure.
Im buying loads of AII X2 for grannies.
Just because i can get 780G
a 2.8ghz dualcore cpu
And a 4 gig kit, i manage to snap this deal up for 110 bucks, and they are pleased(asus mobo aswell)
When hd4200 is more common, ill go for that deal, i love to give more graphical power aswell as having suffecient cpu power at a very low price!
PS. Theese users often go from Pentium 4 socket 478 and alike :|

785g is only 3 month old and hd5800 series came out a month later. onlydissapointment is old rv620 which is an two generations back just like in 690g/740v time when theyintegrate only 9.0b support when first ati's dx10 was released a month later (hd2900) or 740v that came out 3-4 month before (hd4870). The bad thing is that chipset usually get two gen old graphic support and only 780g was virtually in the same timeframe as current gpu's if we forget about the lack of dx10.1 support in time of hd3870

So i'm only dissapointed that they didn't integrate some hybrid between rv620and rv710 with 80SP units and only 4TMU:4ROP configuration as in RV620. I don't really see the point why AMD decided not to integrate merely 80SP in this first 40nm chipset.

You meant Q1 2011 ;) After they release whole stock of new HD6800 series with 28nm cheaper parts
