Cooler Master is ready with a new 120 mm PC fan with the Excalibur. The fan is characterised by its perforated circular metal fan frame, and detachable fan blades that makes cleaning easy. It measures 120 x 120 x 25 mm, and is PWM controlled, spinning between 600 and 2,000 rpm ± 10%. At those speeds it pushes between 26.4 and 85.6 CFM of air, 0.75 to 3.53 mm H2O air pressure. Its noise output is rated between 13 to 30 dBA. The barometric ball bearing is said to more than double its life time over conventional fans. The Cooler Master Excalibur 120 mm fans is expected to reach stores soon, priced at 17.90 EUR. The fan is fit for use in cases, CPU coolers, and radiators.

Holes in the side frame? doesn't that mean the air is pushed the wrong way?
No it means it will draw some air through those holes.
How? the tips of the fans are moving at the highest speed - pushing air out?
85 CFM @ 30dbA is pretty good, but 27 bucks seems kinda high. You are probably paying more of the steel farame. I wonder if the holes on the side walls serve a purpose in performance?
Arctic cooling do the same thing with they're quiet fans : ]

I like the airflow, I like the noise, I like the appearance, I like the removable blades BUT $27!?
I suppose its worth it, but I dunno if I could justify spending $27 on a case fan.

It does seem expensive, but the Noctua fans are about 24 bucks each and that well worth the money. I wwant to see some reviews.:)
Cost as much as Silenx quiet fans.

I like but I have to agree, it is starting to get ridiculous with the price of case fans these days. Id love to get me 4 of these to replace my 200MM fan on my case side panel so I can put it back on, but I cant see spending a 100 damn bucks or more for 4 friggin fans.
Thermaltake has 75-80CFM 120mm fans that are quiet (I think the db rating is like 22ish). They cost $10!

Thermaltake fans are pretty shitty in my experience.
Develop rattles and annoy the hell out of me, I give them away when ever I come across them XD

I paid 24 bucks a pop for 3 Noctua fans so 3 bucks more for better performance is not to bad. Its not like i would upgrade all the fans in my Antec at the same time :laugh:
