this ones got a logical upgrade at least, with the NAS functionality

unfortunately, even on their website they don't specify if its gigabit or not

(the press release is vague, but it comes with USB2.0 and E-sata as well as the ethernet)

the first question would be if it would work on a "directv DVR" as it has a esata output for HD & 3D movies that works today with a standard hard drive docking station. But can the Ethernet port be addressed at the same time as the esata port.

Does the esata port have priority over the Ethernet port? I think it should, but can both be connected and used without conflict?

Does the supplied software or (footprint) reside in/on the hard drive in the dock? this could make bad problems formatting the hard drive in the dock.

Can the USB port be connected and used at the same time as the esata port?

What is the problem they mention about the reset? Is there a problem with 2 clients on the Ethernet port?
