G.Skill Releases its Ultimate DDR3 Memory Modules

G.Skill International Co. Ltd., manufacturer of extreme performance memory and high performance solid-state storage, has today released its ultimate DDR3 memory kit. At 2400 MHz CL9 and 2000 MHz CL6, these ultra high frequency memory modules are available in standard 4GB (2GBx2) memory kits and are specifically tailored for Intel’s P55 chipset and LGA-1156 CPUs.

The 2,400MHz CL9 memory modules are the fastest commercially available memory product in the world, allowing overclocking enthusiasts to reach unprecedented levels of performance to achieve the ultimate PC. In addition, G.Skill has also announced a series of ultra low latency DDR3 2,000MHz memory kits, including an extreme CL6, followed by CL7, CL8 and CL9, which perfectly match current Intel Core i5 750 and Core i7 860, 870 CPUs.

To ensure reliability with performance, G.Skill has worked with performance mainboard companies to ensure the best stability and compatibility. $179 at newegg.

But, it is made for i7 only, and you have to make sure the board will support it. If it doesn't it won't be so good..

To be able to do 6-9-6-24 24/7 at DDR3 2000 would be more then enough for me. I can't seem to find any information on what motherboard(s) this was achieved on.

Because i7 chips are made for p55 set ups as well as x58.

I can't tell you yet how good the fan is. I use two fans on my Thor's Hammer, so I can't use the cooler yet. Now, in a few days, that's a different story. ;)

Corsair has a 2400mhz stick out right now.. But, that's only 2gbs.. if you want 4gbs.. that's $400...

6-9-6-24 @2000 might be faster overall than the 2400mhz kit. With any luck cheaper, and more likely to find a motherboard that can support 12 GBs of it. That's the difference between doing your research and just blowing money.

If the spear Gskill 2400Mhz memory because Asus does platform for AMD Socket soporte that this is for Intel that makes it so that I can not understand ..
They are more beautiful .. sometimes the Asus amaze me with these things ..

Thats really crazy speed.. tough, high-end CPU and mobo needed to make them work.. and almost impossible on X58 platform.. Im half regreting that I have X58. :D

Man bad ass and I like that fan. sucks this isnt for AMD though if it is specifically engineered for INtel, wonder if you could put it in an AMD board.

Probably old or just run using stock clocks. I can run 2000mhz with XMP no problem and ive reached 2200 before.

Yeah, but I need to grab a 860/870 for the best stuff! Might give it a try tomorrow to see how high these babies can go!
