i love to pay lots of money for a laptop without a volume control, yes i don't like these software controlled buttons as they are slow and need a driver!

all my laptops have a hardware volume controle :D

If you're spending this much on a laptop, you're probably loaded, and may as well pay somebody to make you one anyway :p

Wow, first high-end laptop that one can actually use in their lap without fear of ruining anything down there! Why? Because you'll have to give up the whole package to pay for it... :shadedshu

damn looks like a laptop from the early to mid 90s. It will probably burn a hole where ever you sit it, like on your leg or table not to mention burning a hole in your wallet.

dont forget the mobile GPU's are a good step below the desktop variants - the 5870 mobility is a 5770 desktop equivalent, and Nvidia do similar.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but isn't the main point of the i7-980X and other Extreme processors the fact that you can more easily overclock them? How are you going to overclock this? It's not like you're going to watercool it or something.
