Like what bta said, in the "free" version, there will be a preset performance test (all options likely to be locked). In the paid version, you'll get to tinker with all the options, make your own personal test (e.g resolution etc) in a sense.

Nice that it is broken up into so many different tests. That will give people the opportunity to pin point strong and weak spots. It should be real good for tuning the system.

How are they expected to pay for development then? They charge money because making benchmarks is their full-time job - they aren't a charity.

There's a reason why its free. Now if you want more options, there's an option to buy it.

InitialisedHow do I make GTX580 SLi work with this?
if your system has two GTX580's enable SLi and download/run the benchmark, easy.

EDIT: OMG demo mods is back, I loves that.

It is done to make sure people with 1680x1050 monitors and 720p TVs as monitors can still run it. And yes there are plenty of people with monitors of that resolution running DX11 graphics cards.

Why do they let the damn thing install and then tell ya you cant run it.

Futuremark why dont you check for the hardware BEFORE you install the program?

I'll try it again when AMd and Futuremark have released a patch and compatible drivers.

it doesnt like my mobility 5650 much, first few tests ran fine (albeit slowly of course) but on the CPU and combined tests all I get is a black screen with my cursor, then it drops to desktop with an error.

Could someone please explain to me the reason for the cost of almost 1000 grams for the pro version? Ok, I know Futurmark is not a charity, but what the hell man?!?!?!

What do I get with the 1000$ version, compared to the advanced version (20$) ?

Hey if the include a hot babe that blows me everytime I bench my system with 3dmark 11...they pretty much sold me :pimp:

Obviously the Pro version is for commercial use (TPU and other review sites are using it I suppose)

What the heck? DX10 cards doesnt work? I thought DX10 cards could run DX11 applications just fine but without the special DX11 features. Imagine my dissapointment after i was greeted to the message "DirectX 11 compatible hardware is required".

God damnit, and i was so looking forward to trying out this benchmark...

im pretty sure the "special DX11 features" make up most of what is taxing in the benchmark, ie, heavy tesselation in most scenes. it just wouldnt be the same in DX10 at all, and scores would be all over the place.

I get what you mean but still :( they could still just let us run it but not post any results or something like that, i just want to see it on my own computer even if its without tesselation. Heaven benchmark looks like crap without tesselation on my computer but its nice to try out.
