AMD Introduces Catalyst 10.12 and 10.12 Preview Featuring Redesigned Control Center

AMD today released its latest version of the AMD Catalyst software suite, Catalyst 10.2 WHQL, as well as unveiled a Catalyst 10.2 Preview driver that lets you use the latest version Catalyst Control Center (CCC) that features a more functional user interface. The new CCC features a reworked UI that allows easier adjustment of 3D settings and image quality; makes setting up multiple displays easier; and helps adjust power settings to optimize battery life (on notebooks).

Apart from that, Catalyst 10.2 introduces DivX Accelerated support for AMD Radeon HD 6800 series GPUs; support for OpenGL 4.1, including new ARB extensions introduced with OpenGL 4.1; and an updated AMD Stream v2.3 API.

These drivers suck. If you use overdrive then it fooks up your memory clock. What the hell is AMD thinking. I have been an ATI guy for five years and I am getting to the point that I will no longer buy from AMD if they can't get their shit together!!!!

TAViXLOL!! XviD, DivX, Mpeg4 is the same $hit with different implementation! ;)
So (theoretically) any Mpeg4 encoded movie, can be decoded hardware despite the CC attribute(divx, xvid, etc)
you got that right

working fine for me, picked up 3 points in 3dmark11.....doesn't seem like much but after overclocking a bit more after my first score it dropped almost 100 points so to get those back plus 3 more with just a driver change is great to me ;)

10.12 preview at least (not tested 10.12 regular) breaks fallout new vegas.

trees are totally fecked up (this is slightly zoomed in btw, so everything looks worse than it should - look at the leaves, half of them arent there)

it should be noted that the optional downloads (10.12 AHCI and RAID drivers) give you the option to install the new CCC as well.

annoyingly, they arent even showing an option to install the AHCI/RAID drivers either >.<

I'm pissed. All I'm reading is about the massive failure in these new drivers. I was really counting on them to be halfway decent so I could upgrade from 10.8. (I only upgrade if the drivers get praise from the community.)

It seems the only viable upgrade for me now is 10.10e. Damnit... :shadedshu

Oh and ***k the new interface, and the old interface. AMD/ATI couldn't make an interface even if it only needed one button. (Sorry but I had to say it. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to change the overscan settings the first time...)

starcraft 2 and nba2k11 problems

from catalyst 10.10 to 10.10e hotfix to this one... no improvements, the mouse pointer garbage has gone but replaced with crash when exiting the game. the nba2k11 still has no solution to artifacts displaying during the game. disappointed. :banghead:

theubersmurfMLAA is enabled by default for 5000 series, where did you read this?
It was a question, not a statement... So i guess i'll be staying with Catalyst 10.10e hotfix.
This is for the first time in several years straight that i haven't updated 2 new versions of Catalyst. I always kept it up to date the very minute it was released. Now i'm lagging behind for 2 versions just because of the lack of MLAA support for HD5800 series out of the box.

I don't have any issues, I did a over the top install of my slightly cracked version of 10.11 it fixed the stuttering in WMC when scaling a partial DVD window to 1080P.

Ye, i'm having this issue with 10.10e. I play terran, when I select units, it doesn't show them outlined (selected) and also, the pylon range circle is messed up.

meirb111DIVX Accelerated support WHAT ABOUT XVID ITS MORE IN USE THAN DIVX
this lame only 6800 series the other cards are left out
Go ask ffmpeg or xvid to write a GPU-accelerated xvid decoder then. Why should divx give a frak about xvid?
