Silicon Power Unveils SandForce-Driven V20 SSD Series

Silicon Power’s V20 SSD uses the latest SandForce controller, it boasts a continuous read / write speed up to 285MB/ 275MB per second, respectively. it's not the adapter that can boost performances :wtf:

the adapter is for people without 2.5" bracket in their case, but want to improves performance of their desktop PC with SSD. IIRC, no SSD comes into 3.5" form factor...yet.

OCZ have had a vertex 2 in 3.5" for some time now.

the 3.5" vertex 2 is slower than the 2.5" model by a small amount, they just used more, lower density chips to make the same drive cheaper.

OFC, its sold at a HIGHER price than the 2.5", so the price savings are completely negated, making the 2.5" a better buy (unless you want the 3.5" for its giant extra heatsinkness)

After some googling turns out I was thinking of OCZ "ibis"

Shame it costs 1.5 grand :laugh:

Even the 100gb is fast as hell

yeah the ibis runs over a fiber link, its rather leet. not really comparable to a regular drive, since its requires a custom PCI-E controller card to go with it.
