AOC Announces e2795Vh 27-inch MVA Panel LED Monitor

With the e2795Vh model display specialist AOC presents a large-screen monitor in a timelessly classic design that is equally suitable for action-packed entertainment and the office. The slim widescreen monitor with a response time of 5 ms, a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and a screen diagonal of nearly 70 cm (27") is also perfect for fast-paced games and movies.

Complex charts, double-page spreads, image editing, games, video clips or movies - the large 16:9 display area of the e2795Vh offers a lot of space for numerous applications and entertainment. High contrast and brightness values (300 cd/m²) in combination with wide viewing angles (178°/178° hor./vert.) provide an excellent image quality from almost every perspective. LED backlight is employed as light source for the MVA panel, which renders an even brighter and livelier picture.
Perfect for fast-paced multimedia content
Its fast response time of 5 ms marks the e2795Vh as an ideal entertainment centre for everyone who loves action-packed movies and the fastest games. Thanks to DVI-D and HDMI inputs (with copy protection HDCP) high-resolution content from numerous video sources is displayed perfectly. Digital cameras, USB sticks or hard disks can be easily attached to the display via USB (1x up /4 x down). Built-in stereo speakers provide respectable sound to go along with the excellent image.

Teamplayer
Due to the large display area and wide viewing-angles the e2795Vh is perfect for giving presentations to your team or viewing photos with your friends.

Focus on the environment
A resource-efficient production is of high importance at AOC. Thanks to the electricity-saving LED backlight technology current environmental standards such as ENERGY STAR 5.0, TCO or EPEAT-GOLD are fulfilled. What is more, all monitors are manufactured entirely mercury-free.

The e2795Vh will be available in April 2011. Retail prices have yet to be determined.

It's an AOC screen, AU Optronics panel. AUO more or less specialize in MVA.

Excellent! Finally more 27" LEDs. And MVA is also a good technology, much better than TN and less expensive than IPS.

I hope it wont cost to much tho...

Yes, MVA panels have better color reproduction than TN, but not as good as an IPS.

Basically the return of the comeback. LOL.

whats your point? 1080p looks fine on 40" HDTV's, a 27" has plenty of room to spare. its not a laptop, get your nose off the screen.

27" MVA w/ LED backlights sounds great for an upgrade.

Cool. I already have a Dell U2711 but I wouldn't mind a 27" albeit MVA panel for the bedroom.

I still have my old benQ FP241W which uses an MVA panel also and love it.

What is it you don't understand about my post? This isn't a HDTV but a monitor. The difference between the 2 are common knowledge.

Agreed. This monitor would be fine for gaming and movies but the pixels would be too big for desktop use....unless you like large pixels.

So you are keeping the same eye distance from your monitor even if one is 19" and the other is 27" ??

Good luck with your eyes then.

Besides the only people that complain about a 27" having "only" 1920x1080 resolution, are the ones that never actually used one before...

But enough of this, is getting ridiculous to post the same thing over and over again when a new 27 incher is launched.

Had a lot of portables with MVA screens, they are nice.

AOC are fairly cheap as well compared to other brands here.

WIn win.

size is the only difference.

i have a 40" at 1360x768 and the pixels are not too large. i dont know anyone who thinks they are, and a lot of my friends have gamed on it since its my secondary screen.

To be fair with a 27 your going to be nicely leant back anyway in order to see the entire screen lol

Not going to see individual pixels for 2-3 foot away.

Any words on the gamut or if is capable of 10bit output? In theory MVA, PVA or SPVA monitors are able to do that...

My Dell U2711 is 2560x1440 so this is why I am skeptical as to how useful a 27" 1920x1080 monitor with nearly half the pixels would be for office work. I am sure that it would be fine for gaming.

for office work, thats a fair point.

but for office work, a low quality TN panel is also acceptable.

Thor, just as a curiosity. On what DPI are you running you desktop on that 27 Dell?? And also, what's the default zoom on your web browser?

108.8 DPI or PPI. I don't adjust the zoom in the web browser at all.

Text is a little smaller than my U2410 but not enough to bother me, I'm in my forties but my eyes are still pretty good.
