Display major ViewSonic announced three new monitors in Europe, the 19" VA1948m-LED, 21.5" VA2248-LED and 23.6" VA2448-LED. The VA1948m-LED features 16:10 aspect ratio, with native resolution of 1440x900 pixels; while the VA2248-LED and VA2448-LED are 16:9 full-HD monitors (1920x1080 pixels native resolution). All three feature LED-backlit panels with dynamic contrast ratios of 10,000,000:1, and 5 ms GTG response time. Available now, the VA1948m-LED, VA2248-LED, and VA2448-LED are priced at €119, €145, and €179.

Yes they are just LED backlit TFT panel.
But I still think they are great monitors for their price.

pretty sure the first poster is refering to OLED display, which cost significantly more than common display types in use today. however, his comment is borderline trolling, because I'm fairly sure he knows that this isnt an OLED display to begin with, because OLED cannot be associated with "value" which is in fact part of the headline.
In short, OLED could not be had for 100 euros.

My initial thought after seeing the thread title was "Cool, somebody's making cheap LED monitors. Maybe I'll grab one." then I was disappointed by what is actually a manufacturer trying to make their product look better by saying it's LED when it's actually only LED backlit. Which a lot of them seem to be doing.
I wasn't trolling. I was disapointed.

Unfortunately, they're only good for large billboards, because the dot pitch is still incredibly high.Just as I thought. If people want an OLED monitor, they'll look for an "OLED monitor", because that's what they're called in the market. I and many people don't expect a monitor advertised as LED to be an OLED, QLED or a pure LED like Zubasa (By the way, please give me an example) said, because we know LED is what the manufacturers call their LCD displays with LED backlight. I would like you to give me an example of a monitor that you deem is worth being claimed as LED, to see if companies are truly fooling the consumers like you say. And please, chill.:shadedshu
