Skyrim becomes 'Fastest Selling Title in Steam’s History'
It should come as no surprise that Skyrim would be a popular game for the PC platform. However not many people would have ever guessed it would surpass Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in PC sales. On Thursday that became a fact as Jason Holtman, Director of Business Development at Valve Corporation confirmed to IndustryGamers in a candid interview. He is quoted as saying,

"Skyrim is the fastest selling title in Steam's history," said Jason Holtman, Director of Business Development at Valve Corporation. "Bethesda's commitment to and understanding of the PC as a gaming platform shows in the great review scores, spectacular launch, and continued high player numbers that Skyrim has received. We are delighted that Bethesda chose to use Steamworks to support Skyrim both at retail and digitally."Considering the Call of Duty franchise has been a SteamWorks distributed game for the PC since Modern Warfare 2, it says a lot for Skyrim's popularity on the platform. As a matter of fact, one could say Call of Duty was on its way to being the best selling game ever on the PC......until it took an arrow to the knee.

Some notes to developers
There were a couple of groups at the midnight release opening at EB Games who absolutely lost it when they had their copy of Skyrim in their hands.
Jumping up in the air as if they won a gold medal screaming Huurrrrrr hurrrrrr SKYRIM **** YEAH! **** YEAH! then the other group responds with Hurrrrr **** YEAH!! Huurrrrrrrr!!
But today, when i have my own job and i understand how things work, i bought well, pretty much all the games i used to pirat in the past and for the past 6 years or so i haven't warezed a single thing. Only things that i did was to test them before buying because there was no demo. Obviously. I own over 40 retail boxed versions, over 200 games on Steam and probably around 50+ on GoG and growing...
However i do not own CoD:MW and i also haven't pirated it either. I had a plan to buy it but when i've seen its ridiculous price, i've decided not to buy it. I however still have plans to buy Skyrim...
With me playing a lot of minecraft with my wife and a few good guys of TPU Skyrim has taken 2nd place although i got 32 hours on it in like 3 days and had to stop as it was coursing sleeping issue's lol. Thing was all so my wife normally watches me play these games and she was to busy with Minecraft so she had no interest in Skyrim and ended up playing it on my own.
So put Skyrim on the back burner for now but still glad i got it and i don't believe there is another game out there which is worth the $60 marker. Steam will likely have after Christmas sales too so might be worth waiting till then.
