South Korean audio brand JAVS unveiled the X-DDC, a high-performance USB digital audio device. The device connects to the PC over USB 2.0 (although that's a blue type-B connector), and gives out three kinds of digital outputs: optical SPDIF (TOSLINK), coaxial SPDIF, and I²S. The audio output resolution is 24-bit with 192 kHz sample rate, various other output formats are supported. The host interface features 22.5792 and 24.576MHz Ultra-Low Jitter. Home theater audio technologies such as Dolby Digital and DTS are supported. Measuring 105 x 95 x 27 mm, and weighing 200 g, the X-DDC from JAVS is priced at 19,800 JPY (US $241).
