AMD Finalizes Radeon HD 7900, HD 7700 Series Price Cuts, Bigger Than Expected

AMD reportedly finalized the adjusted prices. The price cuts were first reported in a little earlier this month. The price of Radeon HD 7970 was slashed by as much as US $70, sending it down to $479, $20 behind that of the GeForce GTX 680. That of the Radeon HD 7950 was cut by $50, which will send its price down to $399. Lastly, the price of Radeon HD 7770 went down by $20, it is priced at $139. Although not formally part of these price cuts, the Radeon HD 7870 is now available for as low as $330.

This version costs $655 over here: cheapest i could find.

I'm assuming the lightning version will be much more but i couldn't find it listed anywhere :(

Jonap_1stwith no clear future about GTX680 availability on the market, and these huge price cuts on 79xx and 78xx whoever got the crown for the fastest is not important anymore..
cant go wrong with either board. Its coming down to user preference and the ones who bash other parts are the real douchebags here

Romanian suppliers have the Lightning on stock, only them, no shop dares to stock it, however they can oder it from the suppliers in two days delivery time. So far 19 7900's are availabe out of 20 and 5 GTX 680's out of 7 on order only but the prices with our 24% VAT are insane, not many dare to touch them.

Well i meant the 7970 lightning was at $6oo at newegg, now it's $520 but sold out.
