New MacBook Pro Manufacturing Sees Labour Shortages

Owing to an overhaul of the MacBook Pro to the "wedge-shaped" design in use by its MacBook Air family, Apple is reportedly seeing labour shortages by its suppliers, due to strong demand by Apple. It is even reported that some of these suppliers are outsourcing portions of their processes to meet shipment schedules. It is unusual for suppliers (ODMs and OEMs) to see labour shortages this time of the year (May-June), due to a traditionally slow season, however, Apple strong orders from Apple's new MacBook are leaving many upstream makers unable to satisfy demand. According to sources, it is likely that Apple launches its new MacBook line in July.

make a goddamned factory here
Do not despair! The Holy Apple will certainly increase its manufacturing presence in the United States once the federal government exempts it from taxes for being a religious institution.

Right, doing so won't bring them millions of profit...

apple has one of the best, if not the best, supply chain management in the world. for shortages like this to happen must mean massive demand.

It's pretty much a ruse to keep the prices high

Provide any apple product that has decreased in price without becoming replaced by a newer generation product?

products in high demand do not decrease in price unless there is a newer or better product out there given demand remains unchanged. so im not sure what point you are trying to make but i am sure it is a bad one.

huh? are you just trolling now? the article here on tpu is about macbook demand being so high that it is challenging even apple's incredible supply chain management. you say this is a ruse. i ask for proof and you throw out nonsense about price decreases for apple products. then you post an article about ipads. seriously, if you don't like apple just say so, stop talking nonsense though.

Looking forward to how they evolve their product lineup. The MBP has been ignored for quite a while now, time to show it some love. The MBA has been awesome for me, and if the MBP is a change enough then I might consider grabbing one.

It's just another of the many poor troll attempts that occurs around here when you say the word "apple"..

Theres been some rumors of some really nice upgrades in line for the air and pro lines.. like dropping optical for a secondary drive. I think apple may have something good up their sleeves in june. They have been building it up for a while now.

I'm also due for a new laptop :D
