Thermolab Intros LP53 Low-Profile CPU Cooler

Korean PC cooling components maker Thermolab introduced LP53, a new low-profile CPU cooler. Measuring 100 x 94 x 53 mm (WxDxH), and weighing 410 g (owing to its material), the cooler is made of a dense copper fin stack that is arranged along the plane of the motherboard, to which heat drawn from a copper CPU base is conveyed by two 8 mm-thick copper heat pipes. The heatsink is ventilated by a 92 mm PWM-controlled fan, which spins at 1,000~2,000 RPM, with 16~27.1 dBA noise output. The cooler supports Intel LGA115x mount hole spacing, which makes it fit for LGA1156, LGA1155, and future LGA1150 socket types. It is priced around US $50.

more like too bad about the size of the fan... hardly low profile with that massive thing on tip of what's otherwise a fairly nice heatsink

I think the 53mm might be including the fan. They have another heatsink called the 'ITX30' which has a total height including fan of 30mm: http://thermolab.co.kr/product_eng The info for the LP53 is still all in Korean on that page but a quick 'screen measurement' including the fan shows it to be about half as high as it is wide, which would put it around 50mm. 53mm is not much taller than the stock Intel heatsink, and shorter than 95W AMD heatsink.

410 grams, I love this bugger. :) I currently have Thermaltake Extreme Spirit II on my south-bridge chipset and it's all copper brick :D
