AMD has officially released the X1650XT, as expected, for the upper reaches of the mid-range market. The reference card uses the new RV560, which is clocked at 575MHz, features 24 pixel shader units, and 256MB of GDDR 3 video memory that runs at an effective 1,350MHz. The cards come with dual DVI-D outputs, an S-video connector, and support for the HDCP anti-piracy system - handy for folk with HDMI-equipped screens. The X1650XT is available immediately for $149.
