OCZ Technology Group, a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory, today announced the addition of high-speed 133X parts to the cutting-edge OCZ Secure Digital “Dual” Series. The new memory cards will offer a solution for enthusiasts who not only seek the convenience of USB port access, but require high speeds for their digital cameras and electronics.

OCZ’s unique SD Dual cards introduced the unique combination of an SD card and USB adaptor in one unit. Unlike conventional SD memory, OCZ SD Dual converts into a high-speed USB 2.0 connector eliminating the need for an independent card reader to transfer or view pictures or data on any computer with a USB port.

“To meet the demand of the latest generation of more advanced SD based digital cameras, OCZ expands our top selling SD Dual lineup with new 133X speed cards,” commented Alex Mei, VP of Marketing OCZ Technology, Inc. “The faster speeds are designed to make it easier than ever for photo enthusiasts to transfer larger image files straight form the camera to a PC without the aid of a reader."

The new high-speed SD 133X Dual cards are ideal for today’s more advanced higher resolution digital cameras that require exceptionally fast memory to capture and store images and video and will be available in 1GB and 2GB capacities.

OCZ’s commitment to quality carries on into their flash memory series; all OCZ SD Dual Cards come backed with a Lifetime Warranty for unparalleled peace of mind.

These things look quite cool, I'd just be worried about them getting damages too easily if you kept them in a pocket like normal USB drives.

i'd be more worried about pulling off the back while trying to get the card out of a reader...

but then again, i guess the USB section would be big enough to pull it out.

only other thing that'd bother me is i'd be too worried about breaking it in half while its plugged into the USB slot!!!!
