ASUS Announces the Striker GTX 760 Platinum 4GB Graphics Card

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced Striker GTX 760 Platinum, a brand-new gaming graphics card powered by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics-processing unit (GPU), a beefy 4 GB of high-speed GDDR5 memory and engineered with exclusive cooling and power-stabilizing technologies.

The GTX 760 GPU is greatly desired by many gamers for being the performance sweet-spot, while Striker GTX 760 Platinum's DirectCU II cooling, CoolTech fan, DIGI+ voltage-regulator module (VRM) and Super Alloy Power components ensure cooler, faster, quieter gaming that also provides great overclocking potential.
Sporting ROG's signature red-and-black livery and the color-coded ROG LED load indicator, Striker GTX 760 Platinum delivers superb out-of-the-box gaming experiences in style and brilliant innovations to accelerate gamers ahead of the pack.

Hand-chosen GPUs and 4GB memory for 10% faster and smoother gaming
ROG Striker GTX 760 Platinum benefits from hand-chosen GPU cores, so the card delivers performance that's way beyond reference designs. Its base speed is 1085 MHz and when boosted the clock is turned up all the way to 1150 MHz - that's a remarkable 105M Hz and 117 MHz faster than reference.

This means a raw performance boost of up to 10% and, with 4 GB of high-speed GDDR5 memory on board, Striker GTX 760 Platinum delivers super-smooth gaming experiences and resolutions of up to 2560 X 1600 pixels.

Performance that keeps its cool
Striker Platinum has a beautifully streamlined body and a bold heat-pipe - gleaming evidence of the exclusive DirectCU II cooling technology within. This puts highly-conductive 10mm copper cooling pipe in direct contact with the Striker GTX 760 Platinum's GPU, dissipating heat with extreme speed and efficiency.

Striker GTX 760 Platinum also boasts CoolTech fan technology, another exclusive. The CoolTech fan employs a hybrid blade and bearing design, with inner radial blower and outer flower-type blades to provide multi-directional airflow that accelerates heat removal to ensure high-end graphics performance that's highly stable. The fan's ramp is carefully tuned, so Striker Platinum stays whisper-quiet and super-cool - no matter how frantic the on-screen action.
Strength, style and speed in abundance
ROG's engineers created Striker GTX 760 Platinum with the acclaimed DIGI+ VRM and exceptionally durable Super Alloy Power components. Black metallic solid-state capacitors, 8-phase Super Alloy Power chokes and hardened MOSFETs all withstand much greater stress and heat due to the application of specially-formulated materials, increasing the voltage threshold; and DIGI+ VRM ensures an ultra-clean and precise supply of power to the GPU. The combination increases reliability and overall card lifespan by up to five times (5X), allowing users to enjoy demanding game titles that run much more smoothly.

To aid overclocking adventures, Striker GTX 760 Platinum includes GPU Tweak. This exclusive and easy-to-use utility gives users intuitive control over GPU and video-memory clock speeds and voltages, cooling-fan speeds and power targets, so they can overclock easily and with high confidence.

As well, the GPU Tweak Streaming tool lets users share on-screen action over the internet in real time - so others can watch live as games are played. It's even possible to add a title to the streaming window along with scrolling text, pictures and webcam images.

Finished with ROG's ravishing red-and-black bodywork, Striker GTX 760 Platinum even features a gorgeous color-coded LED: this shines brightly and changes shade to reflect the GPU's load level, providing a useful visual guide for both casual and hardcore gamers.

I'd laugh if it came with Elpida memory chips -.-

On a serious note though, nice card but it just seems a bit over the top for a 760...

Ed_1Here first review I found .

Performance is impressive compared to stock 760 , wonder if driver had anything to do , look at high res ,4k fps marks
I mentioned on another thread, guru3d didn't include the 670 with 1344 cuda cores to compare to - what were they thinking?

Asus is a bit late with this release unless nvidia really doesn't have maxwell 800 series chips coming at year end and they are slapping on a new cooler design to drum up sales.

it can't even really utilize that 4gb with 256bit? Not even the 680/770 benefits from 4gb.
