Nice, but I'm waiting for the GTX1070 non-reference, when will these come out?

If I recall correctly, reference 1070 will be available in early or middle June. I think the custom cards should be available in late June or early July, if not in the same date as reference card.

I, too, am going to wait for the non-reference overclocked cards, specifically Asus STRIX series. Until then, I'm very happy with my Asus OC GTX-980Ti.

Clean the spittle from your mouth, nobody like a rabid donkey running around. Do you really think your custom cooled 2.1 GHz 1080s WONT cost as much as a founders edition card, or even more?

LOL, I love how they say "Its gonna cost $499 er $599 ummmmm $699, (can't be seen as a money hungry company, so lets claim something is premium to help justify the cost while still pricing it where we want).... Announcing "Founders Edition!!" Sure it costs more for the exact same thing we were gonna sell you anyway, if you don't like it, go F*** yourself!!!

Maybe if we already have something that's good, we can skip these and wait for the Ti variants to pop. (I'm doing well with my current GPU setups)
By then, we should know whether the Polaris parts are sucking hind-tit or not.
We can just read the reviews and jump either way, if it looks good enough.

that cooler on the founders edition was able to keep some amazing temps while clocked to 2.1ghz. I curious to see what the twin frozer, strix and etc will do and how much more will they cost. The real winner maybe the water coolers if past gen blocks will fit the 10 series.

Funny that this card is the opposite of the name of the brand announcing it.

Meh, wait for the aftermarkets. Zotac already announced theirs.

Makes me wonder if they are getting the yields they need to be more than a soft launch, and thus are going to ask more for the limited supply of chips they have.

So not this one then? Because they did nothing to customize it. Besides stick it in a box with their name on it.

Divide OverflowWhy all the hate on the reference craftsmanship?
Bitterness, it's not meant to go this way!

As per every gen before, the card will sell just dandy.

cant speak for others, but IMO, they saw how Coveted the Reference GTX9XX's were, and set out to monopolize on that "trend", Sadly, (as a person who Both owns a couple Ref GTX970's, and Loves the design) these new ones are ugly looking, as well as *IMO* a rip-off of the old 9XX design. And I find it underhanded , and "Uber-Capitalist" . Also kind of scummy.to try and get another $100 out of Ref designs
Not to mention in order to ASK for a extra $100+ dollars for a card JUST for the appearence of the shroud, Nvidia better make Damn well sure its a Coveted card...Sadly they did NOT do that.Thjey have lazily altered the 9XX design/Titan design, and added some flat angles.

Keep in mind these are MY opinion, and are NOT a matter of Fact.
As all tastes are based on the like/dislikes of each individual.
I personally Sought out the Ref 970's, I found them @ BestBuy , but I damn well wasnt going to pay $100 over MSRP of the other 970's,. so I Haggled BB to lower the cost, and they did.

so based on a couple different single card, and SLI 1080 VS 980Ti set-up BM's i've checked out, the 1080 is from 10-20% faster. Early drivers ofc, but i dont see drivers bringing another 20%.

I knew that claimed x2 perf was B.S. , but i was still a little dissapointed it was a little bit higher i.e. 35%' ish.( not sure if the x2 perf jump was vs. a regular 980, or the Ti, but regardless)
time will tell if drivers will provide a more ample perf jump from 9XX to 10XX.

If you watched Jen-Hsun's demo, he states all board partners will sell Founder's Edition cards in addition to nVidia selling them directly for the life of the card (nVidia typically only sells their cards for a short time after launch).
