Silverstone Intros 1kW Olympia PSU


Silverstone recently introduced another performance enthusiast oriented power supply, the Olympia OP1000. The OP1000 is ideal for high-end industrial server PCs and future multi-core CPU and GPU systems. Reaching the 1000 continuous power output rated up to 50'C, this power supply unit(PSU) has intelligent fan controller for quiet operation(25 dBA @300W or below, 42dBA@ 1000W), a massive single 80A(88A peak) +12V rail and 1100W peak power output. The Olympia OP1000 features 4x PCI-E 6pin connectors, dual 8pin connectors, six Serial ATA connectors, Active PFC and support for ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V. For more information, please click here.

MMMMM, power supply. Sounds yummy to me. 80 friggin amps, wow. $344 on the egg right now. One thing tho, I wish they would get away from using the 80mm fans. 42dBA is just too much.

Purty. Id like to take 5 of these 1000w (PC Power&cooling, Enermax Liberty, OCZ, Silverstar and the other 1000w and mix them together for a 5000w) and have one bitchin psu
