Lately, it seems as if all we've heard about the PS3 is bad news. Sony has some good news for us regarding their latest console. In Japan, they sold their millionth console on July 15th. In Japan, Nintendo sold 2.9 million Wiis, and Microsoft sold 421,000 Xbox 360s.Source: 1Up

I hardly think that 1 million is good since Wii reached 3 million....

Well you gotta look at the cost difference, and the target buyer. Most people would only go for the ps3 if they need a BD player, DVD player, console, computer, all in one. If they just want a console + basic computer fuctions they go for the wii.

End of story, Nintendo has won this battle allready.

the 2.9million wiis sold are almost what the ps3 made off its sales of the 1 million PS3s. It evens out though, software is gonna be more prevalent on the Wii.

Actually 3.010.000 Wii's were sold until July 15th.....I think its a safe bet to say that we must be nearing 3.100.000 if not more.

Nintendo is making profit of every sold console, Sony is making a loss.
