Crysis Pushed Back to November

According to Electronic Arts executives speaking during the company's latest analyst conference call, Crytek's highly anticipated first-person shooter Crysis has been delayed into the company's upcoming third fiscal quarter, which runs from October to December of this year. EA expects the game to release in early November. Previously, Crysis was only officially confirmed as releasing in fiscal year 2008. Last month, various sources reported on a fact sheet claiming a September 14 ship date.

I'm so tired of hearing "Crysis this" and "DX10 that" all the time. It's all hype until it's actually in the shops, and yet everyone just laps up the marketing spin.

Well the thing is, they never announced a release date for Crysis. Even now, it's just a time frame they are aiming at, nothing specific.

I think this game might be alot of hype like Doom 3 was. Pretty graphics, nice engine, and crappy gameplay. I could be wrong though ;). BTW, my birthday is in November....guess what i'm getting for my b-day!! :D

Good thing I didn't jump on the DX10 train as soon as it all came out. I would have spent more money with nothing good coming from it yet. I'll probably be getting things for Christmas. Though, I think I'll wait anyway to get Vista until they come out with SP1.

Well, look at it this way. At least now, they can polish it up and make it even more beautiful and alot better. Possibly working out alot more bugs.

Good things tend to come with delays.

Actually...Crysis and Electronic Arts never made an official release date. People started considering the 11th the release date because online retailers set the pre-order and delivery date at the 11th. The game was always aimed for this general time frame and theres still plenty of work to be done. I am not going to get my hopes up until i hear it goes gold.
