Dell Reveals Barcelona Performance

Barcelona should be available next week and when compared with Intel's Clovertown, Barcelona is 30% faster than Clovertown at floating point instructions. However, at integer instructions, Clovertown is approximately 30% faster than Barcelona. Dell also says they will continue to use AMD processors in their line up to give their customers a variety of choices to choose from.

I don't think it's out in the UK yet. How does it compare to the original, I remember reading that Rob didn't want to focus on him having super-human strength and the a-like in the original.

Apologies for going off topic. ;)

um well i like the originals better but he did kinda focus on it a little bit...but the kid grows to be like 6'6" with a mad bad temper and he's heavy set so the strength he has isnt that unbelievable....but rob most deff stepped up the gore its a believable story to say the least. it seems like something that could happen.

Arrrh I missed the sarcastic bit as I couldn't understand what you were saying - this post however I can. I totally agree too, I can't wait to see some numbers. I know the first lot of Barcelona won't live up to expectations but that's because they'll be the low to mid-range chips. I'll look for the article, but I think they're going to be the EE (Energy Efficient) ones.
