I didn't understand that.
So you're getting an expansion worth twenty bucks for free, and that somehow alleviates the original issue?
I urge you not to buy it though :) Outdated, awful game.
What I miss are games like the early Zelda NES titles, where you might actually need one to find all the crazy cryptic hidden shit in the game
I'm curious though - what games out there aren't outdated and awful? I really need to find something decent to play. HL2.ep2 is the only thing I can think of that's recent and not...the suck.
Because when it comes to in game/world land mass, it's far from the largest, very far.
|Well, orig game + expansion + 2 guides sounds like ~$100 to me. If one was interested, it is a solid deal.|
Yes, in a monetary value approach it's not bad, but doesn't take away from the game being the same game :)
I just thought it was funny that the original+the 'evil' subscription would turn him away, but then getting a free expansion would suddenly make the difference.
Depends on what you like to play?
FPS:
Crysis (demo) Well, it's Crysis!
COD4 (demo) Lots of action, nice that it's modern warfare, I like WW/WWII theme but it's so old now.
Hellgate London (FPS/RPG demo) Interesting..
MMO:
LOTRO (best since original EverQuest)(Just got DX10 support)
Since that's the only two types of games discussed here so far, that's all I commented on, hope you don't mind.
I did mean the physical (virtual?) geography of W0W being large enough that maps make sense in a guide format.
As far as other games, W0W is the king of the MMO, and rightfully so. In all aspects that MMOs entail, it is the best in many aspects, one being the huge playerbase. I've tested and played most of the MMOs since EQ (which I HATED) and none has kept me as involved as W0W did. I quit W0W before the exp. w/ 2 60s and sold my account.
One game that I loved was EVE online. If it wasn't so darn...boring to PLAY - the potential there was Awesome, it was unruly and chaotic, and they have a small but thriving playerbase.
Hellgate beta was Diablo3D (outdated anyone?) and it actually reminded me a lot of a dumbed-down version of Anarchy Online (which was a great MMO when it first started but soon became too EQ-like)
Crysis demo so far is...FarCry 2.0. The gfx are nice but...meh, same gameplay.
I'd LOVE to hear more about LOTRO, here or in PM if you're playing that. I've read up on it in bits and pieces but I would like to hear about it from a gamer.
