2007 Audi TT is Gran Turismo Awards' 'Best in Show'

Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA), publisher of the Gran Turismo series, the world's best selling racing game franchise with over 47 million units shipped worldwide, hosted the fifth annual Gran Turismo Awards last night in conjunction with the 2007 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) auto show in Las Vegas. This year's highly anticipated event featured a distinguished line-up of automotive entries from top SEMA show exhibitors representing five categories, all vying for the coveted "Best in Show" title, which went to Marcel Horn for his 2007 Audi TT. For the top honor, Marcel Horn's exceptional 2007 Audi TT will be immortalized as a featured vehicle in a future iteration of the Gran Turismo franchise, allowing millions of fans worldwide to race his vehicle. Last year's Best in Show award winning 1960 Chevrolet Corvette will be unveiled in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, available on PS3 computer entertainment system in North America in 2008.

Three cheers for the days where we endure people taking performance/luxury cars and turning them into 'tuners......'

Let's hope the game does his car justice :)

Some serious piping going under the hood. Twin turbo?

But hey, it actually shines as much as cars in the game :P

Just whack in some hydraulics or airbag thingies to take it over speed bumps, no problem.

I still much prefer a Mitsubishi Evo over this. failing that a pimped batmobile will suffice my needs

My thoughts exactly. Not to mention they don't handle nearly as well as a proper suspension setup. I hate ricer crap.

Speaking of which I had a Mazda Mx5 in N4S:U.D 0-60 in like 3.5seconds lol it was more of a drifter but i did take it drag racing but it was pretty hard to control such a light car at stupidly high speeds.

I think i only gave up on N4S:U.D when i entered a race where the CPU also had a mazda Mx-5...needless to say i wasnt the Drift King anymore....I was beaten by the same car i was driving

I'd like a 'vette with double turbos and intercoolers. New cam, new crank shaft, and please change the rear suspension at least. Anyways probably 1000+ hp car.

Audi TT still looks cool though. Plus twin turbos in a TT...who would've thought lol

Audi are German dude :wtf: Anyway, Japanese cars go round corners, are built to be reliable AND fuel efficient and besides, I am the proud owner of a 15 year old Jap' machine that still shows up nearly everything else of comparable engine size; there's be no 16v twin cam engines if it weren't for the crazy Jap's :rockout:

Ricer doesn't refer to Japanese cars anymore. It refers to the giant wing, neon, body kit culture, regardless of the car's make. You know, the "The Fast and the Furious" crap.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Ricer

Besides, you don't have to talk to me about the quality of Japanese cars, I'm the one that had a turboed 7th Gen Celi GT-S, remember? Currently have an '04 Sentra SE-R Spec-V.

wrong.

the people who actually pioneered the whole overhead twin-cam and 4 valves per cylinder engines, are bentley.
and they did it back in the 1920's. (sounds a bit far-fetched, i know, but feel free to look it up)

so to correct your statement:

there'd be no 16v twin cam engines if it weren't for those crazy brits.

and on a side note, they (well, not exactly bentley, but some of the ye-olde 'bentley boys') also pretty much pioneered the concept of forced induction engines. feel free to look that up as well.
