Toshiba Launches New Satellite A215 Laptops Powered by AMD Turion 64 X2 Processors

Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America, announced today that it has updated its mainstream AMD-based Satellite A215 notebook line with the additions of the Satellite A215-S6804, Satellite A215-S6814 and the Satellite A215-S6820. The new Satellite A215 models incorporate AMD's leading-edge AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile processor. Incorporating a 15.4-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite display and a DVD SuperMulti optical drive with Labelflash as well as embedded Webcam, these Satellite A215 models easily allow users to perform a variety of tasks and leisure activities. For users that require a significant amount of storage space, the Satellite A215-S6814 and the Satellite A215-S6804 provide generous hard disk storage capacity of 250GB and the Satellite A215-S6820 provides a massive 300GB hard drive. The new Satellite A215 configurations are currently available at Toshiba Direct and a variety of major consumer electronics and computer stores nationwide. The base price for the 15.4-inch Satellite A215-S6804 with Turion 64 X2 at 2GHz, 2GB PC5300 DDR2 memory, 250GB 5400 rpm SATA HDD, ATI Radeon X1200, and one-year standard limited warranty is 899$.
