Radeon HD 3870 X2 at CES

Still no specs yet unfortunately, but AMD is showing off its Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics card at CES. As you can see, the card has been installed in a system, which would suggest its working - to some extent at least.

They have said that it was possable to run 4 of them at one time. They just need to make a driver to do that:D
The other 2 would join the other 2 over the buss.

interesting...
how much power would that draw though? i'd imagine you would need AT LEAST 1500w...

doubt it. you're talking about 8 cores that draw 105w each at stock settings. that's 840w for your graphics cards alone.
throw in a quad barcelona or yorkfield, that's another 150w.
you're already looking at 990w.

So two cards would attach with the crossfire bridge and the other two thru the PCI-e bus??
