GooOS

What if Google had an operating system up it’s sleeve? Those are the rumours spreading across the web. Unfortunately, rumours they remain. Delicious looking rumours. How about this for eye candy?

And this food for thought… The GooOS, the Google Operating System as Kottge.org so dreamily writes back in April of this year. Can you imagine the cow MS would have if this were ever to become reality?

Google hasnt even made a "google suite" nor do they have enogh product to put in one.

I would welcome an Office suite made by google though, Excel/Access have no competition.

That's the front end for their web appliance. It's a very simple GUI to run over their "spiders" for local networks.

Its nice to see new OS araund (if yhis its one) but with MS expiriences a dificult way to go...

This is unregistered guest haven! :D . And "GooOS" doesn't look very sophisticated to me. Whether it's myth or reality. I wouldn't be excited either way. I mean WOW, a linux shell. How impressive! With all their programmers and "scientists" that's the best they could do?! :rolleyes:

hmmmm, if it is true (which i highly doubt) then the GUI looks terrible and as someone said does look very like windows blinds and as for the booting OS screen wtf? thats terrible

Always a Critique.. I doubt you will ever get 100% that like an OS, but if Google were to make an OS then maybe Microsoft will have to drop prices on their OS. Well need a little competition in this market. If Google comes out with an OS I would try it.

I knew Google was going to take over electronics.... first an innocent site..... then the biggest search engine, then searching every book on the planet, then google maps, then google earth, the google moon... (love the cheese! :D)
And since I can do whatever the hell I want here.....
