Another Marriage Falls Victim to World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is not known as the most friendly game with the real world. With over 10 million subscribers worldwide, World of Warcraft is the bane of gamers everywhere who want to do something out in the real world. Case in point: a former female Blizzard employee gave her husband a copy of World of Warcraft in Christmas 2004. World of Warcraft basically wrecked the man.
He would get home from work at 6:00, start playing at 6:30, and he'd play until three a.m. Weekends were worse - it was from morning straight through until the middle of the night. It took away all of our time that we spent together. I ceased to exist in his life.
Six years of marriage went down the drain, things like personal hygiene, bills, and even romance took second-stage to his World of Warcraft addiction. The poor woman eventually filed for divorce, citing World of Warcraft as the reason. Since the divorce, the woman cut back on the time she spent playing WoW. The man, however, still plays "religiously".

Cartman was quite cool to do that...

-"Dude this battle could last for days, what happens if we need food."
-"Watch this you guys... Mom... MOM!"
-"Yes hun?"
-"More Hotpockets!"
-"Right away hun!"

What a nerd... He was probably just "friendly" with her. Bring them to "exalted" and you'll have them eating from the palm of your hand.

I mean, sure the game is great, and sure, it can suck away hours. But honestly, who can simply sit and stare at a screen for that long and not get bored. Wow is not that fun when you have to do hours of the same grinding over and over. I just don't get it.

This is worse than the drugs that are illegal... In fact, this should be classified as a drug.

I used to play a lot and it almost cost me everything...I've been clean from WoW for a while now and I feel better than ever.

EDIT: This is not sarcasm...I almost lost my girlfriend and my 2 year old son in the process.

i mean this is just sad, i've been playing for a couple years now, absolutely love WoW, if you get bored with one toon, start a new one, but the guy who said "grinding for hours" is a nub, unless you're referring to pvp yeah you may find yourself grinding av for a month or two to work up the honor and t hat's only if you want season one gear. aside from that i play about 3-4 days a week from about 10-4 in the morning, i've got a g/f and work a full and part time job, and i still find time to do plenty of other things, go out, movies, beach, anything i want, it's just a timing thing. people get to into video games, and forget about real life. it's retarded but hey its WoW, there are very few games that can claim the fame that WoW has, it's just a fun game, and pvp kicks ass as well, so there's something in it for most people, if you can commit the time.
