Lian Li has prepared something special which might interest all Xbox 360 owners. This is a pre-production sample of a brand-new custom Lian Li Xbox 360 chassis. Made from aluminium, the enclosure features enough space for all the internal components of the console along with pre-prepared water-cooling holes in the rear. In addition, the chassis has all the necessary outputs like HDMI ready to be connected at the back of the case. There you'll also find a single low-speed 120mm exhaust fan. Release date for this case is still unknown, but expect price around $80 USD when it hits the shelves.

Now that's what I'm talking about right there!! Well worth the $80 IMHO! :rockout:
Water Cooling?? Why I ask you? Is the hole point of a console not to move away from the worries of modding and upgrades?
by: Gambit_ZA;686283Yeah, but people like us always want bigger and better. Bigger and better means water cooling! :toast:

If theirs no possible way to overclock a console system, then I just have to ask, why have watercooling for it? Waste of money IMO.

A.) So the damn console doesn't burn itself up. and, B.)you can make it much more silent.

by: Easy Rhino;686300LOL That's so sad.
to brag to your internet friends.
by: cjoyce1980;686320I am not mocking the 360 dude, I have one. Just the idea of a person modding his console (any coonsole). And showing it to his buddy's online.
just as sad as this then?

by: Gambit_ZA;686321I know what you mean, but as long as there are things to mod (cars, computers, bikes, etc...) they will always be modders. Its always interesting to me to see how they did it, but i also would never do it myself just to show my buddy.

Just when we thought all consoles are made/stay equal.
But that's Lian Li and 80 bucks :D

i think its pretty good choise for those who want a icy box for 360..as it is well known that 360 has some bad heating issues
The loudest part is the f-ing optical drive, it never spins down during a game, tho it looks like lian li took the time to put in some dampening material around the drive but when I get this case (AND I WILL SO HELP ME!) I'm quadrupling the dampening material around it.
Is the motherboard going to be turned upside down then?? :toast:
I like the case, the stock 360 looks awful and sounds even worse (imo). At least this way Lian-Li are offering something that can sit underneath your (HD)TV without sounding like a hair-dryer constantly on.
not sure about you lot but i have a 65nm pro 360 and it aint no hair dryer. OK, my first one was, but i swopped it for the newer one and its a hell of alot quiter that my PS3
will this prevent RROD if not, i can see alot of users pissed, because they opened the case and can't RMA.
NICE looks sick better than the piece of crap that its sold in
by: candle_86;686354Actually, not strictly true, i have opened up my cases before and returned them if they went wrong. Didnt see anywhere for the hdd though. As long as there is somewhere for it internally. I would get this. My 360 is a bit too loud and i dont like the case and it gets too hot. How much would it cost to actually get water cooling though?

hehe thats pretty cool :) cheap aswell
I can see Microsoft not having a problem with a user just opening a case.
But will they have a problem with you taking out the parts and putting it in another case.
I think they may and no more RMAing.
But I must say a good concept overall.

Hmm, they weren't able to integrate that damn power brick inside. I remember when Xbox-scene posted this a month or two ago, I believe they were considering it. Without that integrated, I wouldn't buy this case for $80 (even if I had a 360 - well, maybe $60 shipped :) ).
The console, and the computer, will become one, one day. At least the Xbox and the PC will, dunno about PS and Wii. Soon, with the power of fusion and hybrid crossfire, you can get your own little "xbox" replica, all on a pico-ITX board.
OH OH!!!!..... yeah, and the xbox "chipset" will be for sale, just like R670, and G90's and crap. Asus will be making xboxes with their own case and cooling setup. With LED's. OMG i'm so clever!!! lol

You dont have to destroy the warranty stick when you take it apart...

Yup, its called a heat gun and a razor blade. A hair dryer will work also, takes a little more patience.
if this case will fit in the spot my 360 is in, i might buy one.
Waste of money imo, would be better spent on something PC related.
its nice but i just dont see teh point, buy a pc if you want to mod something
by: CarolinaKSU;686339LOL! of course! same for the optical drive!
Is the motherboard going to be turned upside down then?? :toast:
Awesome. I will definitely purchase this, but only because I spent $80 on a broken 360 and fixed it. The seller said it was like new, but then shipped it without any packaging material. You can guess what my case looks like now.
by: bretts31344;686654These things happen for a reason. ;)

I wonder if I can cram my PS3 in there?
by: erocker;686741if you cant i probably can:laugh:...cant guarantee it will still work though;)

by: erocker;686741Lol, are you worried about your PS3 overheating or do you just want to spend 80$ to do some modding? :D

Already seen stuff like this on ebay
I really don't see the need to mod a console. The PC is for modding and the console is for the late night gaming with friends.
by: Snake05;686854Well Xbox 360s have a higher failure rate, so I guess these guys figure they have a market.

i think its about damn time someone did something like this. even if you aren't going to be watercooling, its still a nifty little upgrade that makes the console just look awesome. although water cooling is definitely worth it on the 360 IMHO.
There is dual odd doors. I wonder if they made it to were you can do the hd-dvd drive and the standard def drvie
Watercooled XboX360 would be so damn cool! :rockout:
here is your water cooling kit for the 360: http://www.xoxide.com/koolance-kit-xb360bk-sys.html
Where does the Lian Li title come from? The product seems pretty good..When is it going to hit the shelves?:rockout:
by: Gambit_ZA;686305Well, you know you would.
LOL That's so sad.
I would love to get this...I hope this can lower temperatures a bit. My warranty is already gone so why not! I just need to get a coupon because $80 is a little steep.

Modding the original Xbox was one of the best things I ever did to my console. You could do some incredible shit with that thing.
