Fallout 3 to Have Over 200 Endings

Game developers have been gradually trying to create more-open games over the past few years, but it looks like Bethesda is planning to take a huge leap forward with its upcoming title Fallout 3, which will feature over 200 different endings to the game. The company's executive producer, Todd Howard, said:
Being that we are Bethesda, everything gets a bit big, so as of last week we're over 200 endings. That's not an exaggeration.
He explained that small changes and additions to the endings are multiplied by other factors influenced by the player's choices and decisions in the game, adding:
Fallout is probably twice the size that we originally had on paper. We've definitely gone overboard... It won't end up being as big as Oblivion, but it's approaching that. The game is easily a hundred hours.

That's... pretty amazing, somehow I get the feeling though that those endings differ very little from each other. Basically there'd be like 5 endings and all the other ones would be VERY small variations from those main endings, and then they'd call them all ''unique''.

Anyway, if the endings differ in many great ways, this'll certainly be amazing. Get this game and play if for the rest of your life. Well, almost. :D

Man, I'm so excited about this!

I just played through Fallout 1 a few months ago as a pure brawler, it was such a blast!

What kind of endings - Videos? Text? Ingame scenes? I cant imagine how that would be realised and in which way.

I've been waiting for this game for awhile now, this is great news. Fallout games always had the best replay value, mostly because of the different ways you can build your character and weapons you choose to use, but now this! Replay value ftw

Indeed.. its quite surprising because item placements and drops are not random.. yet still the game manages to be replayable! This game really redefined my outlook on RPGs since all the RPG I can access that time were railed console RPGs (no table tops here..)

Wonder what ending I'll get when I play through the game firing only groin shots.

This should be fun and interesting. I wasnt really looking forward to Fallout 3 since I never played Fallout 1 or 2. But this over 200 endings thing has piqued my interest quite a bit. I may just pick this up.
Anyone know if there is going to be any multiplayer for the game? That would certainly add even more value to the game.
