Patriot Memory, a global provider of premium quality memory module and flash memory solutions, today announced the Lite Series SSD storage solutions. Available in both 32GB and 64GB capacities, these upgrade solutions are designed specifically for the ASUS Eee PCs.

"Small form-factor mobile PC's are becoming extremely popular among consumers," says Meng Jay Choo, Flash Product Manager for Patriot Memory. "Patriot's new Lite Series SSD solutions offer consumers the perfect storage upgrade to store their important music, video and data files without worrying about running out of space on their ASUS Eee PC."


Lite Series 32GB and 64GB SSDs are compatible with the ASUS 900, 900 16G, 900A, 901 and 1000 Series Eee PCs. The Lite Series SSDs will be shipping the week of October 20th, 2008.

wich type is the connector on it? is it a custom connector? because mini pci-express would be nice for normal laptops :laugh:

That's standard SATA, both data and power. It comes without the cover for the ports.

it's not sata it's mini pci conector. and all laptop can use it.

Thats a mini PCI-E Slot HDD, and its not DRAM. If it was DRAM you'd see the memory dissappear every time you power off the system. These seem to be multi-cell chips and I don't think they'd perform as fast as the stock SSDs. If this thing turns out to be speedy I'll probably buy it; 64GB is nice.

I really wish the price of SSD would drop drastically.
