Thanks to a nice spot by one of our community members, a picture of EVGA's Bloomfield-supportive motherboard has emerged, on Xtreme Systems Forums. The motherboard marks the first motherboard by EVGA, based on an Intel chipset. The X58 motherboard would offer 3-way SLI among other overclocker-friendly features, as listed below:
  • Socket LGA-1366, Intel Core i7 Support
  • Features Intel X58 + ICH10R chipset
  • Six DDR3 DIMM slots for tri-channel memory
  • Sports 100% Solid-state capacitors, enthusiast-grade design
  • Enthusiast layout supporting 2-way, 3-way NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX
  • EVGA VDroop control, EVGA E-LEET Utility
  • 10 SATA II ports with 1 E-SATA

That's a nice, clean board.

CFX from EVGA O_O... Nice board, NB cooling looks more than enough, but I see that they've bolted on a fan anyway. The MOSFET cooling is certainly leaning towards overkill but nevertheless looks impressive. This mobo wont be going anywhere near my system though; that mosfet cooler will make it impossible for me to plug the 8 pin in unless i use tongs. Dual NB phases, 10 CPU phases, Three mem phases, looks quite good. Is that a replaceable bios chip?

hmm i dno... nothing really special about it. Should be low price, i mean compare it to the blood rage and the asus range.

Large third party coolers will have issues with this one though. Area is pretty cramped imo...

evGA does it again! With Crossfire support, I can still buy from them and have their awesome tech support when something either scares the hell out of me, or goes wrong.

Seriously, the little things are always overlooked sometimes. Way to go eVGA!

The description says 10 SATA II ports, but I can only find six in the picture.

Apart from the six angled ports you see:

Look at the extreme south-east corner of the board. You'll find two black SATA II ports there. Look above the first PCI-E slot, there's one red SATA port there, the last one is E-SATA.

Tower CPU cooler will cool the mosfet heatsink nicely with the same fan, nice idea.

Good points with the 8pin plug, it will be impossiple to plug in or take out with motherboard or at least PSU in place. Apart from that looks very clean and nice.

The cooler is rediculously large.. Looks nice tho. They have been making some decent boards lately.

I want one of these :P, I'd get a matchin evga gpu if I had one of these well 3 matchin gpu's. Try find myself some green and black RAM and a black thermalright 120 ultra extreme with a green LED fan on it.

great board I have to say, i love evga, but I have not bought their boards because I have had nightmare experience with Nvidia chipsets, may be my next system build next year would have this board in it.

Just to let you guys know, evga is notorious for putting large heatsinks on their test boards, and their production board usually have a more realistic and cut down version of the heatsinks. this is probably a pre production model, so I am sure the final would have a different cooling solution on the mosfets. Remeber the 780i FTW was suppose to have this massive heatpipe northbridge cooler but it never happened, and the pre production models had the cooler but the final one had the regular nvidia heatsink.

My thoughts exactly.. this board would look great with a green and black color scheme.

I love EVGA too and if the price is right and that massive heatsink is out of the way around the mosfets, it will be my next board as well. :toast:

I love the prebuilt and installed heatsink/fan type coolers for the mosfets and nb. Thats a first in my eyes.

What's wrong with the colors? They are the typical EVGA black and green. I can see what you're trying to say, but you can't really get anywhere trying to make fun of their coloring scheme (which imo there is nothing wrong with). They are just 2 [H]ard for U.:laugh:

well, that tears it, time for a nehalem build. Looks like EVGA FTW again....
