UK based HEXUS.net has learned that XFX, one of NVIDIA's main AIB partners, is about to start producing AMD/ATI based video cards in the very near future. HEXUS has learned that a formal announcement, detailing the exact relationship between XFX and AMD/ATI, is expected next Tuesday. The AMD/ATI deal won't reflect on XFX's NVIDIA series cards, the company will continue to sell them as it is doing now. Expect more information, when available.

i do hope they'll still make nvidia cards, right? nvidia must not be happy about this at all, not only is its main partner making mobos for intel and now XFX is going to make ATI cards  which is basically an equivalent of a slap in the face to nvidia.

BFG usually, but online, BFG has pretty good prices. BFG just has high prices because places like wal-mart, bestbuy, etc.. all sell their cards.

Both companies I think are pretty pricey, but I think XFX deserves to charge a little more because of their RMA and Customer services.

eh, XFX Cards tend to not provide good enough Coolers on their cards. Sapphire and HIS do just that (provide good enough coolers). although, XFX is known for there cheap prices and good deals. it goes either way i guess.

I don't understand where you're coming from. The cooler is usually better than the nVidia reference cooler... well, sometimes is better. And what do you mean cheap? Most expensive 8800GTS is XFX (however out of stock) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201305520548%20106791921%201067924922&bop=And&Order=BESTMATCH Most expensive GTX280 is XFX (before all sales prices) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201305520548%20106792634&page=1&bop=And Highest priced 9800GTX+ (that ECS one is two cards) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201305520548%20106792522%201067942261&bop=And&Order=PRICED

Thats nvidia's fault, because the 9600GT and 9800GT had insufficient amount of phases, and complimentary cooling. Anyway, Nvidia's smartened up with the GTX260/280s with a huge number of phases and a good cooler.

I think this is XFX's way of trying to PWN EVGA because evga continously outsells XFX every year.

XFX cards are not really that cheap, but XFX does make alot of custom PCB's for their cards, but i'm pretty sure that XFX will open up their RMA service for Nvida - ATI rma's for EOL products, it should save them money, wish my GTX260 was XFX now.

Thats good news. If only eVGA would do that too :P

Agreed - they seem to make 100% profit on BFG sales . . . at least, I figure based on the 100% markup of the price . . .

Sounds sweet. Should be good to go with a XFX x58 board.
