The first shape that comes to your mind when you think of a system case probarbly is a cuboidal tower with a little decoration thrown in, with essentially the same internal locations for installing your parts to build a PC. Lian-Li sought to break the mould with the introduction of the PC-888 at the 2009 CES event. The PC-888 sports a whacky design, that is inspired quite seriously by the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, just that the pearl white decked with glass makes way for ocean-blue. Bit-Tech published the first pictures of this rather interesting looking "case".
Given its shape, the interiors have been compartmentalised accordingly to distinct areas holding the system board, hard drives, power supply and space for even a water cooling system to creep in. There is a generous amount of ventilation and cable management features provided. For more pictures, head over to Bit-Tech here.

Good luck trying to fit that under your desk :p
Though about the same, would look even more the think it was inspired by and 'pretty'.

I agree this is the case that would've looked great in aluminum rather than this Super Man ocean-blue.

Lian Li always seems to find a new an exciting way to make a case even uglier. :/
by: 1Kurgan1I wouldn't go that far. I've liked/loved most of their cases that they've put out. The 343 and v2000 is probably my all time faves

by: BigBruser13If by some terrible accident i ended up having to use that case i'd mod it to be a fillport for a water cooling loop.
First thing, I was sure it was a wifi antenna at the top of the case. Am I the only one who thought wifi? To have that spike at the top with no function is a waste.
only 4 HDD bays??????!!!!!!!
Sure does and even better without the top floor (or 2).
I would have to say that one ugly case and whats with the post sticking out the top just weird
The design looks kinda ok, better than the bog standard, but it would look much better in black and the window could be nicer
looks like a cd/dvd tower stand (case)
I like it in black. I bet it would look nice in brushed aluminum finish also. Ugly case or not I would like to see how she cools. Plus I like real innovation......IF it works :D Any idea on cost?
by: erockerIt's to shift gears from present day back into the 1960s... or just a DVD spool
What is the pole for on the top of it? If the case makes R2-D2 type noises I would like it more. It also needs a LCD screen on top with a creepy smiley face displayed on it.

by: H82LUZ73haha, I guess that would get her to stop nagging us about spending so much time on the computer.
