A photo has emerged showing a prototype Micro ATX motherboard from MSI, based on the Intel's X58 chipset. Dubbed the MS-7593 the board comes with six DDR3 slots supporting triple channel, two PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots (SLI compatibility is at present unknown), 7 SATAII ports, 8 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet and an on board power switch. Further details such as availability and pricing are currently unknown.

Folowing DFI and Asus it would seem. And is it just me or are their two sets of mounting holes? I.e could be backwards compatible with LGA 775 coolers? :wtf:

yes I know, had to do it because my pc has a virus and it's reloading everybloody page I go on and blocking images, so I have to resort to posting pics so I can see the pic:(

Isnt it better to get rid of the virus than try and work around it? :wtf:

Get kaspersky already! I like the current trend for mATX boards with crossfire and SLI. when i made my mATX lan system, there wasnt any available.

I use KIS2009, best IS I have ever used, really light on resources and unobtrusive. But lets not turn this thread into a discussion about AV progs, lol.

A lot of MSI's mid range boards are brown. I think it looks very nice with the blue and black slots.

Why does it look underwhelming? Ahh, because the heatsinks are flimsy, and there isn't anything to cool the VRM area, why? It's a prototype. Expect a better product at launch.

Who from MSI come up with that rusty PCB color ?
by OnBoard (2:31 PM) - Reply
That MSI X58M looks ok (not quite as nice as the OP), but hit some ramsinks to VRM area and you're good to go. I'm getting more and more interested in these cheap X58 boards, than the P55 boards. By the time P55 hit the market, there will be a cheap "old" X58 board :)
by btarunr (2:32 PM) - Reply
X58M is what the board in the OP is.

So they ditched the S775 mounting holes :(

Yep, that's what they are and a great feature, but seems not on retail :ohwell:

low profile x58 for cheap price , ok so let we say i pay 100$ for it , how much i pay to complete the corei7 system , cpu-ram-v card = at least 400$ 100$ more for better mobo makes 400$ cost more useful

The Asus Rampage II Gene has both sets of mounting holes: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131371
