They play L4D very well for me. Seems smoother in 7 than Vista for some reason.

H82LUZ73Nitro use the scaling options,Also Win7 defaults to what ever your tv-monitor can go to,My 37 inch is set for 1920x1280 and i still have to use scaling.

I tried these this morning and install was like 9.4 ask me if I want to install driver signature error again. Then I tried a game and DX errors all the time went back to 9.4.
where is this scaling options? there isnt anything in display settings. I connected my LCD-TV via hdmi to dvi port and I renamed it to see as PC monitor. It acts like a normal PC monitor. If I dont rename it then it remain as a hdmi connection. Then I can choose Just scan function which is 1:1 pixelmapping but it wont still do overscan.

new drivers dont even install CCC. It install Catalyst install manager thing then it stopped.
I tried 9.2 and 9.3 drivers. They installed CCC but wont run it.

I did a research on the web and I saw many nvidia users have same overscan problem.

NitrogliserinI cant run Catalyst Control Center :(
well you're going to need to fix that.

edit: Just to make sure... go into device manager and see what drivers you actually have installed. Check if they say published by ATI or by microsoft.

Ok I installed this and CCC doesn't detect my second GPU core Crossfire is dissabled and my second core is running at 856mhz all the time even it 2D.

Is this supposed to happen, should I have uninstalled the old before I installed this one or what? Cause this sucks...

second core running at full speed is a known bug. run a 3D app and quit it, and it will fix.

Second core not working... check device manager, make sure its installed properly.

No it was fine with the previous 9.4 CCC with the 8.60 drivers. As soon as I installed the 8.614 or whatever it this one is that is WHQL for Win 7, my Crossfire stoped working on my X2.

Device manager still shows two GPU's for my X2 so its installed. I'll mess around when I get back from school but I just want to know if any one else had issues with crossfire using the WHQL drivers.

Yeah I just wanted to see if it performed better. I guess I'll uninstall them and then reinstall them and if it keeps up I'll just get rid of them and put the standard 9.4.

I'll just wait for them to work out the bugs. Whats so great about WHQL anyways? Something about GPGPU, which can you even make use of that now?

i beleive WDDM 1.1 allows the OS to be rendered in DX10, as opposed to DX9. Other than that i dont really have a clue.

First I checked Mussels's suggestion and see driver's detail.

then I uninstalled it and installed clean 9.2. It successfuly installed the driver and CCC.
MoM.exe and CCC.exe are running on background. but there is now way to see interface of CCC.:banghead:

all that means is that you never installed the drivers. Wipe them all clean, reinstall the latest ones and then manually update the drivers in device manager.

PCpraiser100Nice, AMD comes first from the pack.
OMG those laggers at Nvidia are a whole day behind them! WTF! This is so important, 24 hours more hours without a useless designation for a beta operating system for NV GPUs! Damn Nvidia Sucks!

AMD does tend to be in front. SM 2.0 performance: in front. SM3.0 launched first, DX 10.1 (SM4.1) launched first, W7 WHQL drivers first...

sure it hardly matters, but they do like to get in first.

I did that. But W7 couldnt find a driver for x1800 in 9.2 package then it rolled back to W7 default driver. when I click to CCC this screen appears and nothing will happen when I click to advanced mode. I need a proper driver for x1800 but it seems ati doesnt care at all.

I went all the way back to 8.12 driver, installed fine and CCC works now.
Problem is that ati driver site is suggesting me 9.3 vista driver for x1800 which actually doesnt contain any driver for x1800:wtf:

I can enable mine:

Did you do a clean install or did you have the 9.4's, then switch to these WHQL drivers?

Also, here is my CCC version info if this helps, Catalyst™ Control Center Version 2009.0428.2132.36839
