IntelBurnTest v2.0 Released

IntelBurnTest is a CPU stress benchmark for testing stability of your x86/x64 processor. The new benchmark is said to be extremely processor intensive, so much in fact that it can load your CPU 22'C more than the well known Prime95 benchmark? Keep in mind to use this program at your own risk.

DOWNLOAD: IntelBurnTest v2.0
Requirements:
- An x86/x64 CPU
- At least 512 MB of system memory. Recommended minimum is 1 GB.
- A modern Windows-NT based operating system (XP and above). Both x86 and x64 are supported.
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Runtime (x86), can be found here.
- Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 (minimum), can be found here.

FIRST! Downloading nowz. I use one of his older programs called X-Stress. I love it ... easy to use supports virtually unlimited threads and kicks the crap out of my PII.

If it heats that much i wont use it :p. P95 already heats up my entire house, so there is no need for 22ºC more.

Try OCCT's LINPACK test. it uses CPU and ram, and it stresses it out pretty severely... most people i know's OC's arent stable under linpack.

And the Linpack test gets around 10C hotter than the normal test in OCCT, if that means anything lol, it's what I used when overclocking.

It works well for me. the 5 test run went quite quickly though. Doing a run now for 20. temps 61, 60, 58, 58 for 3.2 Ghz and 1.25V - I'm pleased.

Well this doesn't seem to be doing much, not passing 60C which is pretty much the same as what OCCT got it to.

Yes - it seems very similar. Temps virtually the same as OCCT linpack. So I can pass this 20 test. Can I pass Mussels 4 hr OCCT test? I'll compare later this week.

at this point i beleive this is the exact same LINPACK test as what is used in OCCT, its merely that intel have updated their GUI/frontend for the test.

Just running OCCT and hit 67C after 4 minutes, IntelBurnTest didn't even get that hot. OCCT Linpack FTW!

Let me quickly point out that this is NOT an Intel authored processor testing utility, but an independent programmer with a PAYPAL link. I'm pointing this out, because I quickly scanned the OP, saw the links to Intel site for the VB C++ add-in requirements, assumed it WAS INTEL, installed and ran the tool, only to see it is a 3rd party tool. The tool is FINE. Just might be different from what you were expecting.

THANK YOU. I had misread it as being an intel authored tool. It is merely another tool like OCCT using the intel testing methods.

E8400 @ stock!! I had do turn it of my self because it would have burned my cpu:ohwell: i shuld but some termal paste on it i guese:D

Actually both LinX and IBT are just GUI's to Linpack. And yes Linpack is written by Intel. You could download Linpack and use the commandline to run/use/test with. These guys just give you a nice GUI to make it simpler.
