It defiantly looks nicer than others without LED's but it does, to an extent, defeat the purpose of having the LED's there. Although, it may give a nice glow from underneath the laptop. It's more than likely just a gimmick to justify charging more.

yep its what i do with all my fans my nirvana heatsink too looks great, they didnt HAVE to make it glow.

They look pretty cool. I like the color changing fan. Be nice to put the two together. Put the color changing fan in the other frame and make it out of metal. I don't like how the metal one has those lips to catch on things if you happen to be using it in bed. Like me lol.
