The Intel Pentium 4-M 1.40 was a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in April 2002. It is part of the Pentium 4-M lineup, using the Northwood architecture with Socket 478. Pentium 4-M 1.40 has 512 KB of L2 cache and operates at 1400 MHz. Intel is building the Pentium 4-M 1.40 on a 130 nm production process using 55 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Pentium 4-M 1.40, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
With a TDP of 21 W, the Pentium 4-M 1.40 consumes only little energy. Intel's processor supports DDR1 and DDR2 memory.
Neither SSE3 nor SSE4 instruction sets are supported, which will lead to problems with games not starting.
