The AMD E-240 was a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in January 2011. It is part of the E lineup, using the Zacate architecture with Socket FT1. E-240 has 512 KB of L2 cache and operates at 1500 MHz. AMD is building the E-240 on a 40 nm production process, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on E-240, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 18 W, the E-240 consumes very little energy. AMD's processor supports DDR3 memory with a single-channel interface. This processor features the Radeon HD 6310 integrated graphics solution. Hardware virtualization is available on the E-240, which greatly improves virtual machine performance.
