Ok, I accidentally put my computer into sleep mode, which completely pisses it off and I have to reset the CMOS and delete the restore information. No biggie, I have done it before, but this time, it deleted my PCI ethernet card, so I reinstalled it. Oddly enough my motherboard ethernet started working correctly again, but I have since disabled it as it gave the same problems as this card.

Now when I try to go to any web site, it usually gives me a connection reset message, and when I refresh the page a few times, it finally loads. There is nothing wrong with the internet since I can play UT2004 just fine, there is something fucked the with browsers. The other computers in the house don't do it, so it's localized to mine.

I have tried reinstalling, uninstalling, new browsers, etc, nothing works. I have disabled the firewall and my antivirus with no effect. Opera works the best, but it won't let me log in anywhere, when I try, it gives me the same error.

I found the problem and I can't fucking believe it. The computer's clock was reset, so it thought it was back in 2002, so all of the security certificates weren't valid till 09.......

Thanks. It came up telling me the info when I tried to log into Yahoo mail. It said "the security certificate is not valid until April 4 2009"

I was about to reformat the damn thing, hard to believe that the clock can fuck up your browser.
