What did you do to beat it?
Well, it depends where you are.. basically at the start you have to hide behind the pillars and take out the guys (rockets work best, headshots too). then do the same for the, errr mutant guy (forgot his name, kreiger?) take him out and his posse. then when you get to the volcano, take the heavy machine gun, sniper, rocket launcher and another weapon. Snipe the big guys, then machine gun them as they close up the slope.. watch for other snipers. Once they're all dead, snipe the remaning freaks then move to the other side of the crater. Keep your guard up at all times just incase. Power up the lift then go to the top of the volcano. Walk along the bridge in the direction of the lift power switch (but on the level above the switch) then before you reach the end, snipe as many guys as you can, grenades work well too. get your rocket launcher out then advance up, killing the men as you see them. (taking them out from a distance with sniper and grenades is best, but a few will remain). then walk up to the door, then go through to complete the game!

Just started GTA: San Andreas today, man, I love being able to eat pizza and change my haircut :p
Graphics ain't that bad either, they finally got rid of the fog :)

@ W1zzard: just don't install 1.3, I finished the game using ver. 1.1 about a month ago, and didn't have any problems, apart from the usual crash to desktop :mad: :D

Yeah, I'm really lucky, my brother is an airline pilot and he bought it yesterday at a gamestop in LA, and he came today, he says there was a huge waiting line but he was lucky to grab a copy, bet I'm the only one who has it in my country :D

Hey danthebanjoman, Is the EVE Online combat system like everqeust, ro do you actually get to point and shoot? Also, would you know of a way of playing it online without a monthly fee :D ??

Forgot about playing for free, You can try it out for 7 days though.
The combat system isn't really pointing and shooting. You can lock targets and select modules to activate on the target, complex calculations determine hits or other effects (tracking speed of the guns, range, movement of both ships etc)

well i came thru HL2 few weeks ago, now i' playin' Sims2 - don't laugh, this game is veeery addictive when you get into it - the time spended by the compuyter actually decreased, becauce now mothers friend (!) and my little sista' (which didn't sat at my comp for three yrs at least) are blocking my gaming experience.. :(

kool, im got hl2 when it cme out, n it onli took 3 days to complete it (me still goign to skool its pretty good :D) and i still paly the multiplayer on that, i paly lineage 2: chaotic chronicle, im waitign for a decent 1st person shooter, mite i also add...quake 4 looks pathetic, doom 3 was good the 1st time roudn after that it was borign predictable n awful, and if you loo kat the quake 4 screen you will just tihnkk, what isit? doom 3 with quake 4 wtuk on the box....I DARE YOU TOO LOOK AT THE SCREENS lol doom 3 was kool when you get the chainsaw...ohh yeh..........chainsaw....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

anyone experiencing probs w/ Sacred? when i talk to someone, or buying things - simply when there is a transparent window over the game screen, the perf. drastically decreases... oh and the starting menu is running crappy too... i simply can't figure this out as the game runs fine (aside of these events) and some damn translucent field really shouldn't cause that large perf. hit - in fact it shouldn' do anything with phe perf :(

Ive played the demo, seemed pretty fun. Reminded me a LOT of starcraft.

Half Life 2 is devouring my soul right now, BEST GAME IVE EVER PLAYED
Not to mention Deathmatch and CS:Source are both very very good games.

found the trouble - the czech localization sucks - bad font or something, so not the transparent fields but the text slows it down

lol took you long enough =D I thought HL2 was ok.. the engine is incredible... sound effects were good. The only things that could've been better were a) more bgm perhaps, b) more thorough story. HL2 leaves you completely in the dark and doesn't give an insight into the plot at all.. it feels more like a "sidequest" than anything else.. but... i'll trust that valve will explain the story sometime... within the next 6 years hopefully ^_^.

I'm playing Resident Evil 4 right now, going thru second time... so much fun.

Playing through HL2 too, altough I can only play less than 30 min. each day because of lack of free time :(
To think I bought about 2 weeks after it was released, and I haven't finished it yet :(
Just beat the "anticitizen...something" stage.... that was some cool squad action :)

Half life 2 REALLY reminded me of a movie called "28 Days later", AWESOME movie, but if you wathc it then play Half Life 2 you will see the similarities.

hmm not relli, 28days later was about virus infected people, and halfl ife 2 is about alien combine soldiers invading earth and freedom fighters etc lol on this point wazzledoozle are you any good at over clocking processors (jsut guessin from the amd 2500+ @ 3200) cos im runnin my 3200+ at normal and i dont have a clue what to do to ovver clock it, i wna overclock it and get the best performance i can! lol xtreme... your first move should be to softmod your 9500 to a 9700, that'll increase your computer performance heeps, as for overclocking check the other fourms floating around and read up!.

Half life 2 reminded me of 28 days later not in characters, but the plotline was similar. THe part that was like 28 days later was when you were in a tunnel in the buggy and there was a big pile up of cars and as you get out to move them you start seeing zombies come around the corner and towards you. There is a part like that in 28 days later.

28 days later would make a great videogame, it doesnt have to be based EXACTLY on the movie.

get hl2, play css and get in a clan, nothing difficult about that.
I should warn you thou that cs(s) is considerd the lowest rank.

I would advise ut2004, it is high skilled, has a big community, is updated every 1.5j by a newer version, is developed by EA the biggest game company out there.

If you just want some pure fun, get joint operations, it is better then the BF serie imo.
And don't forget Enemy Territory, it's free! So is Americas Army.

get Knights of the Old Republic. It's one of the best games, not to difficult, a very good storyline, at least 20-25hours of gameplay before you finish the game!!!!!
And then you can replay it, with a lot of different ways to take.

If you want something more time consuming, get morrowind, the amount of extra's that is being developed by gamers and the official expansions, makes it on of the biggest games ever. And if you really have time enough, get baldurs gate (2)
At least 80hours of fun awaits you (without the expansion), or icewind dale?

2)Got UT2004, pretty amazing game, although I've been having technical troubles with it. Oh, and btw, it isn't developed by EA, it's made by Atari ;)
3)I was thinking about getting one of those new starwars games, the latest I have is Episode one :D

guys ever heard of chaser? our production, and i haven't seen screenshots yet :D well it also has a year or two... other one's name is KULT: Heretic Kingdoms, pretty nice action/rpg, came thru already, but the prob was that while loading the comp sitted tight for 5 mins, and when the hdd led lit up it took only five secs to load... really a pain in the ass game... but still pretty nice

Or play as one of the poor rebeld bastards that followed freeman no matter what, I still have memories of the poor souls standing in the middle of the street as human targets under a haze of sniper bullets while you could safely take cover behind a corner! :(
