There the HD 5750 crossfire setup performs same or better on occasions compared to a single HD 5870 ... and also consumes less power
the pair costs around $260-$280 and the and this beats the price of a 5870 by $100 at least ... :ohwell:

CrossFire can have little problems and nuances that a single card doesn't have. Two PCI-E slots are also needed. I also don't trust their power consumption graph at all. According to them adding a 2nd 5750 to a system will only raise it's idle power consumption by 4 watts. That is very much not true. Indeed, under load the 5870 draws twice as much power.

But its actually 12W ... (Sapphire Vapor-X HD 5750 is an OC'd version)
