Anone else have them? I just got a set and I am enjoying them so far. I enjoy the fact that i can hook in my ipod and listen to tunes while I am working on my rig lol. I also use the headphone jack for gaming.

Wouldn't you normally be able to plug in your iPod through any regular set of PC speakers?

Also, I envy Klipsch owners. One day, one day...

Not all do. Granted, I bought these to replace my old Boston Acoustics that didn't have this feature.

I got a 5.1 ProMedia Ultra set back in 2003/2004. I had to replace the BASH amp once but other than that, they've been great. I haven't used them for a few months though because my Creative card wasn't fully compatible with them. I'm waiting for an Auzentech card to show...

I <3 Klipsch. A shame they discontinued the 5.1 version.

Nice. These are just for my pc so that would be a bit much!

I'll reserve the big stuff for the home theater

The home theater rigged to the comp to total game immersion is just unbeatable.. All so solves the possible OS issue with 5.1\7.1 sound cards have some times as all ya need to do is output 2 speakers and let the home theater do the rest. And why not have a comp with a BIG! sound even more so these days how games are getting :).

Anyways enjoy your speakers and one thing for sure there much cheaper than my option. Never been much of a fan of computer speakers including the z5500 which i thought sounded like cardboard.

I've got both a set of 4.1's (on my puter) and 5.1's on home theater.

I love them. (period :))

I've never had any problems with 5.1 directly out of my SB Live and now Audigy. Also I'm pretty sure if you output Stereo and have your receiver do the 5.1 conversion then you're not getting true 5.1--the 5.1 intended to be had from the video or game.

Ahh Klipsch Promedia 2.1's.... the original benchmark for good 2.1 PC speakers!

Seriously I remember when these came out like 7 years ago and EVERY set of "high end" 2.1 PC speakers to come afterward got compared to the grand daddy of them all. I saw them in Best Buy around 2004 and came REALLY close to buying a set. But I didn't. I cheaped out and bought some Logitech Z3's instead and soon regretted it. Sure I saved $130+ but the Logitechs sounded like SHIT and they got to sound worse and worse as I got "used" to them! Now I just cringe when I hear them!

Oh I should have bought the Klipsch!

I had a pair back in 2004 and the amp had burned out in 2008. Other than that though they sounded great and had plenty of power to them.

Those are still sweet. Klipsch hasn't made concert speakers in years, focusing on movie theater setups. Which translates well to home media 5.1 and 7.1... I have F-2's on this cpu..total overkill

I bought these off a friend of mine and there startin to piss me off!! I just replaced the fuse in the back that pops out (2amp,250volt). I turned them on and I'm getting the highest pitch humming wining noise from the left speaker. Sound comes out of the sub and right speaker but not the left. Just that humming. Do I need to open it up and change something?

Some earlier models had some flaw that caused quite a few of the amps to go out. I know, because my 5.1's went, had to spend $60 for a fix. The symptom was that they just would not turn on, and it wasn't the fuse. Appparently a batch of mosfet's was defective.

The obvious first thing is to check the cables. Klipsch had good customer service but it'll cost you.

I just bought a BRAND NEW set of these speakers on ebay, for $75 shipped. The listing was put in an odd section, so no one was paying attention to it. All I have to say is DAMN. These speakers are really loud and clear. Better than my Polk Audio bookshelf speakers, and significantly better than my buddies Bose Acoustimass. Actually, I don't think I've ever heard better computer speakers, ever. Best deal I've run into in a long time.

Is it better than logitech's z2300 (which is also 200w and THX).

Makes no difference all sounds are were they should be as long as you connect all the speakers up right.

Bookshelf speakers tend to need a sub with them and a good AV\AMP to drive them. Interested in what Polk speakers your talking about. Soft done tweeters i find more open sounding unlike the metal type.

$75 sounds like a real good deal. Made of MDF too which is whats all so real nice about the Promedia 2.1. Sweet as long as you don't need them for multiple things.

Truth be told, I have a set of Logitech x540's too. Even with games, I just rather have 2.1 speakers. I don't know how to explain it. I guess I rather have the power all come from one location.

Well i like just 2 speakers but getting the ones i want is pretty close if not impossible ( Very old British speakers ). There is all so the fact that my wife likes watching me play games as long as they have a good story and such. I wish they would make speakers how they used to :).

I don't like 3 way speakers as the midrange sounds to high but i got some due to teamspeak and vent usage.

Surround sound only requires 2 speakers if the equipment is up to it and the speakers are placed correctly. 5.1 just makes life easier and more apply-able to more people listening.
