Hello i just downloaded ATITool 0.0.22 and have been running it with my card. my defaults are 398.00/304.00 and i have overclocked to 450/305 96/105FPS 107AVG. im just wondering how far i can go for it be safe and not blow my card up. i have put some heatsink compound on the fan/heatsink, so i hope that might cool it off a bit, i have a PCI fan below it blowing the hot air that comes off the heat sink out the back of my case. how far has everyone safely overclocked theirs? oh and my card is an ATI so i can flash it to a FX....or i havnt found a way.. :D

the memory is at the top endish of the spectrum but you clock should go another 50mhz easily, My 9600 series (none pro, se, xt) runs at 505/303

thast seems weird they usualy go to 500 very easily, can your ram go higher maybe, the mem test is pretty safe on ati tools.

yea, that looks right, around 500/325 i believe is the best it can do. I'm using a 9550 and it's reaching it's limit somewhere around there.

Just FYI, if I remember correctly the RAM is designed to clock up to 350MHz.

Well i am kind of new in all this, so flashing the card scares me a little. Can`t it go wrong so the card dies?
Does some of you have a link to a guide that tells how to flash the card?

Dont flash your 9600 series cards- there is no benefit. The core will not clock any higher. If you really wanted to permanently change your memory timings i guess you would, but no other reason.
