Guys
I have a 32GB X25-E but as there's not enough space to have more than one game installed at a time (I have to treat it like a console and delete/download games via Steam).
I think my speed is being affected - Windows score for HDD has dropped to 5.9 from 7.3 also.
Should I get a large X25-M G2 (or similar) or get another X25-E from Ebay for the same price ?
Then I would have 64GB in RAID 0 ?
Any comments or suggestions ?
Cheers !

Well Windows scoring is BS to start with better of testing with HDTune but don't keep using HDD speed test programs.
The 80GB are good i have been using 2 in raid for a while and with your chipset (ICH9\10R) you will still get trim even in vista with a X25-M G2.
I think you be better of getting the 80GB one over another 32GB one as on the 80GB the read speed is twice as much.
The X25-M G2 is a much better SSD than the smaller one i think but make sure it is G2 and not G1 as i believe the G1 don't support trim.
My speed has been constant since i had mine ( about 3-4 months now ) with a single X25-M G2 hitting 220MBs average and 2 in raid hitting 510MBs.

Agree with the Windows score being BS, but with all the other at 7.6, 7.9, 7.9, 7.9 the 5.9 just gets to me !
After a bit more digging, it looks like Intel are coming out with another set of SSDs ?
Perhaps I should just wait that extra 5 seconds here and there !
Crystal mark reports seq 250 read, 200 write, so it's not slow :)

I got the 64GB version of the X25-E, apart from Sandforce there's really not that much faster out there. 64GB is enough for OS and programs plus a couple of big games titles. So if you can find a cheap 32GB it will be worth RAID 0'ing them together.
If you can't find it cheap, consider selling your 32gb and replace it with a larger or raided Sandfoce.
Quite good deal on Scan.co.uk: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/80GB-Corsair-Force-Series-25-SSD-SandForce-controller-Read-285MB-s-Write-275MB-s

Hi - there is one on Ebay I am watching @ £160 . . . it's a bit steep, but would it be worth it ?
I like the idea of Intel controller with Intel SSD . . .

For £160 if you RAID 0 with your current one, that's gonna be around 500MB/s read and just under 400MB/s write and 64GB..
kinda not worth it when:
2x of these would outperform and give you 20GB more: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/40GB-Corsair-Force-Series-SandForce-controller-25-Read-280MB-s-Write-270MB-s

Now that MLC seems to have cought up with SLC, those Force drives really look like the way to go. You should probably still get some decent money for the X25-E off ebay.

I'm just wondering that Intel's future offerings will be like ?
