When the attached build is started with command line parameter /GTX580OCP it will disable the power limitation system of the card until next reboot.

GPU-Z only has to be started once and can then close, it does not have to be running for the rest of the session.

Please use at your own risk. Exceeding the power limitation of the card may result in damage to card and/or motherboard.

I'll even quote that again so people cant complain if it does do something bad. :)

OT:

Thanks for the updated GPU-Z. :toast:

knowing this i have to feel a little bit bad for nvidia mysterious ways of
throwing sand to our eyes. they always manage somehow to desguise issues.

in the other hand it's good news we can disabled it! but 580 it's not as good as we
expected is it?

we seems like we won't see no longer 512bit bus interface in another card, will we?
Stream processors are becoming more and more important in cards these days

it's incredible the amount of stream processors that they can stick and still have
decent TDP like ATI

I tried it and ran Vantage but i didnt see a increase in score or overclockablity.

Im running a EVGA GTX 580.

Shouldnt i see a increase in overclockablity if this is working?

NO.

it will not affect either of those 2 things... it only affects furmark and simmiler programs.

As usual, this version doesn't work with my 580.

The unrecoverable error occurs @ 0x74844731 in GPU-Z.

I have the reference BIOS (70.10.10.00.01).

Dang, I thought this version would actually work.

I don't see any other reviewers having GPU-Z trouble though. Must be the combination of the GTX 580 and the nforce 980a chipset or something?

used with 580 on cold tonight, getting a weird result with this gpu-z command. Vantage will start at 1.38v and slowly rise to 1.45v by the end of the bench and usually kick ocp there. It goes up like .01v per 1 mississippi. Tryed fighting it with my vr but still failed

Changes are included in current GPU-Z release build.
